Aircraft Models are scoped to the current operator. Each model groups one or more aircraft type designators (e.g. an "EC135" model covers EC135P1, P2, P3 …); attach an MMEL or MEL to the model and any tail carrying one of its designators inherits the document.

Each row pairs a tail number with the operator's approved MEL, NEF, and CDL. Pilots and mechanics will select aircraft by tail number; the assigned documents are loaded automatically.

Send periodic NEF item listings to the FAA inspector and any other contacts. Each NEF attached to one of your aircraft can be enrolled in automatic notification, and a manual send is always available. Email delivery is not yet active — the framework here generates a preview of what would be sent.

Track the current MMEL revision for each MEL the operator flies. When the FAA publishes a new MMEL, click New MMEL Available on the row to log it as Pending and classify it as a major or minor revision. The Pending row sits alongside the Current row until you click Mark Incorporated.

Configure additional procedural content the pilot or mechanic must review during the deferral flow on the selected tail. Any one or any combination of the three inputs below triggers a forced "Step 2" between Review Original MEL and Complete Maintenance Procedure. The user can't advance to the next step until they've opened and closed Step 2.

Add operator-specific content to the existing "Place INOP Placard" step on the deferral flow. Any one or combination of the three inputs below will render above the standard placard text on the selected tail.

Up to two logos for the currently selected operator. The primary logo appears in the top-left of the iOS app's blue banner; the optional secondary slot displays next to it. PNG or JPEG, 2 MB max each.

Add up to three Local Administrators per operator. Local Admins can grant or revoke the Manager role on this operator and edit every per-operator setting. They cannot affect any other operator. Each invitation is a one-time link that expires after 7 days; new admins set their own password on acceptance, while existing MEL IQ users sign in with their current password and the operator is added to their access. Only Global Administrators may issue Local Admin invitations.

Manage everyone who can log into MEL IQ for this operator. Managers can edit the roster and assign every permission except Manager itself — only an administrator may grant the Manager role. Use the spreadsheet uploader to seed a large roster, then refine permissions in the table below.

Global Administrators have authority across every operator and are the only role that can mint other Global Admins or Local Admins. Promotion is a direct action — the target must already have a MEL IQ account. Demotion strips the global flag but leaves any Local Admin roles intact.
